Kaz Tanaka is President Director and Chief Executive Officer of the DH Energy Group, the Indonesian leading clean coal energy company, since 2007.

Within the Bumi Resources Group, he previously served as Vice President Special Projects, Vice President Director of Arutmin Indonesia, CEO of Enercorp Limited.

Prior to joining Bumi Resources in 2001, he had occupied the positions of Marketing Director and Strategic Planning Director of BHP Billiton Indonesia, Director for Arutmin Indonesia and BHP Kendilo Coal. He had started his career with the Trade and Industry-Japan External Trade Organization of the Japanese Ministry of Economy.

Kaz Tanaka graduated with a Bachelor of Laws at Chuo University in Japan.

He is currently Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Coal Mining Association (ICMA) and Commissioner of Coalindo Energy for Indonesian Coal Index (ICI).
