Zhou Fengqi

Zhou FengqiZhou Fengqi is Senior Advisor, Former Director General, at the Energy Research Institute of the National Development & Reform Commission (NDRC).

He served as Director of the Energy Research Institute of the NDRC from 1987 to 1999, after being appointed Deputy Director in 1981. In addition to advising the NDRC, Mr. Zhou is a consultant at the China Energy Research Society and the Japan Asia-Pacific Energy Research Center. His expertise includes energy planning, development strategy and policy, renewables, energy conservation and regeneration.

Mr. Zhou graduated from Tsinghua University’s Electrical Engineering Department in 1959.

He is Vice President of the China Energy Association, Vice General Councilman at the China Energy Conservation Association and Vice General Councilman and Secretary-General at the China Energy Investment Association. He has been a member of World Bank Energy and Environment Instruction Committee and World Bank PCF Technology Consultant Group.
