Dr. Bruce C. Folkedahl is a Senior Research Manager at the Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC) of the University of North Dakota.

Dr. Folkedahl started with the EERC in 1991 as a Research Associate. He worked in coal combustion and gasification projects before moving to 3M 1998. While at 3M, he served as Senior Product Engineer in materials development and later became Product Manager for 3M’s Industrial Minerals Division. In 2001, Dr. Folkedahl returned to the EERC where he focuses on coal inorganic transformations, biomass conversion to energy and fuel, development of predictive models, process performance improvement, and air pollution control systems.

Dr. Folkedahl received his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and his B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of North Dakota.
