Alain started his career in 1981 as Development Engineer in Heavy Oils conversion with IFP. In 1987, he became Project Manager for analysis correlations and later headed the Petroleum & Distillation Analyses Laboratories. From 2001 to 2003, he served as Refining Delegate within the French Ministry of Industry. Back to IFP, he was appointed Technical Expert in Heavy Ends Conversion and Project Manager for the use of non conventional resources for transportation fuels and petrochemicals bases. Alain holds an Engineer Degree of "École Supérieure Chimie Physique Electronique de Lyon" (CPE) in Organic & Mineral Chemistry (1978) and an Engineer Degree of IFP School in Refining & Petrochemistry (1981). Alain Quignard has co-authored several IFP technical books including Heavy Oils, Extra-Heavy Oils and Tar Sands; Hydrogen: an Energetic Vector for Today and Tomorrow, Catalysis by Sulfide Transition Metals. |
